Smart city innovators NXN (formerly NexGen Group) have won the prestigious 'Technology and Smart Technology' award at the 2018 International Business Excellence Awards.
The firm, which has bases in both Dubai and Riyadh, delivered an insightful presentation to judges about how they were selected to develop a Smart District Master Plan for a landmark park in Dubai.
During the presentation, NXN told the panel of judges, "Drawing on global best practice, we developed an overall Smart District ICT concept design, technology blueprint and service delivery framework. This involved defining Smart District Services and value-propositions and developing detailed technical design and specifications.
The project impressed judges, who named them category winners, and Senior Partner Yousef Khalili took to the stage at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel the day after the presentation to accept the award on behalf of NXN.
Khalili said: "We at NXN are absolutely thrilled to have won this prestigious award. The process of entering has also been beneficial, with the feedback from judges that is available offering expert insight into your own business practices."
