UAE telecom network provider du, part of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC) engaged with members of the Community Development Authority's Thukher Social Club as part of its latest volunteering activity, in which participants have enjoyed various activities in Mushrif Park.

du Emirati employees engaged with senior citizens - both men and women - and hosted a number of activities including; a quiz competition, poetry recital, board games, as well exercise. du is committed to actively working towards boosting its positive interaction between its employees and the community, and saw this volunteering program as the perfect opportunity do so.

The company's employees have also encouraged the elderly to participate in football matches, and have engaged with women in conversations about several topics including traditional medicine.

"At du, we are committed to making a positive impact on our local community, and we believe that these volunteering activities at the Thukher Social Club were the perfect opportunity to make the constructive engagement we are continuously striving for," said Abdulwahed Juma, Executive Vice President of Brand and Corporate Communications, du.

"Senior citizens are an important part of the UAE, and we are pleased to have been able to bring support and smiles through our volunteering efforts," Juma added. "We have endeavoured to engage with the elderly in a fun and interactive style that showcases their amazing talents."
