Huawei has strengthened its position in a leading global brand index while also increasing its brand value. BrandZ’s annual Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands study, published by WPP’s research arm Kantar, ranks Huawei 47th (up one place from last year) with an eight percent increase in brand value. It’s the fourth consecutive year that Huawei has been featured in the top 50.

Effective June 10, 2019, Stella Medlicott is appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Group Function Marketing & Corporate Relations at Ericsson and a member of Ericsson’s Executive Team. Stella Medlicott held the position of Vice President, Marketing & Communications and Government & Industry Relations within Ericsson’s Market Area Europe and Latin America.

Chinese telecom giant Huawei says it could roll out its own operating system for smartphones and laptops in China by the autumn after the United States blacklisted the company. The international version of the system could be ready in the first or second quarter of 2020, said Richard Yu, the head of Huawei's consumer business.

Nokia announced that Ogero, Lebanon's fixed network services provider and engine for the Ministry of Telecommunication, is among the first operators globally to commercially trial its Fixed Access Network Slicing (FANS).
