In response to widespread social isolation measures to combat COVID-19, NetFoundry CEO and Founder, Galeal Zino, has announced radical moves to provide essential services with exceptionally secure, high performance networking for their remote staff. The company is offering charitable organisations, schools, universities, hospitals, medical professionals and law enforcement agencies complimentary use of their Cloud Native Networking Platform for at least three months.

“In the current climate it is more important than ever to keep vital services connected throughout this trying time” says Galeal Zino. “We want to help by supporting critical IT infrastructures and enable them to stay securely connected with colleagues across the globe.”

He points out that social distancing requirements mean that remote offices are increasingly scattered to work from home and risk being connected by nothing more secure than Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnels. CISA has already warned business of the security risks incurred by remote workers across VPNs.

With NetFoundry, instead of configuring and managing multiple VPN tunnels, the IT administrators have central visibility and granular control of the entire network, remote clients – and users benefit from superior performance and powerful “Zero Trust” security end-to-end. Software for each endpoint – available for Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile devices – is all that is needed.

Example benefits of better performance and more secure networking to the edge include:  hospitals and research institutes being able to connect across the globe to share important findings to combat this pandemic; for schools and universities to share and access classes and lectures; and for law enforcement to be better connected to combat unexpected security risks.

Integro Technologies previously used the NetFoundry platform for IoT and Edge Networking, and are now using the same platform for remote workers. Shawn Campion, CEO says: ‘I am very grateful we purchased NetFoundry (VPN) software in January, We were able to configure and activate our entire staff of 45+ people for remote access to various on premise local workstations and servers in less than 2 hours with a range of permissions per users and/or group. In the last few days it has been a life saver, preparing for the worst possible condition/events.”

“We appreciate that this is a very busy time to think of upgrading communications” adds Galeal Zino, “So we are doing everything to ensure that everyone will be up and running as quickly, smoothly and securely as possible. We have engineers and customer support specialists on stand-by to make sure that happens”.
