The Maldives’ incumbent telecoms operator, Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun (Dhiraagu), has revealed its plans to expand its fiber broadband and IPTV services to one of its inhabited islands, Maavah.

The operator’s fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service has currently reached 60 islands of the Maldives, amounting to 75% of households and the Dhiraagu TV offering now covers 54 islands, accounting for 73% of homes.

Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, Senior Manager if Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu, said, “With this new expansion, we are pleased to introduce our reliable high speed connectivity allowing communities to stay connected.”
