Over the last thirty years, Qualcomm have driven advancements in mobile technology that changed everything about the phone. Using their innovative solutions, they have been at the forefront of 3G and 4G technologies which have ultimately enabled us all to be able to put a smartphone in our pockets. At CES 2017 in Las Vegas, Qualcomm CEO Steve Mollenkopf delivered his keynote speech in which he outlined how the company was leading the world to 5G - a world described as a technological revolution that will have a dramatic impact on our lives. So, what exactly can we expect from 5G?

At a recent press conference in Dubai hosted by Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, the key word #GenMobile was introduced by Aruba’s Middle East and Turkey Regional Director, Mr. Ammar Enaya. The term refers to employees defined by their preference for mobility both in terms of the devices they use and their approach to work. Aruba, which prides itself on providing smarter networks that are insightful and predictable to accelerate the transition to smart buildings, held the press conference to extend its expertise in preparing IT firms and telcos for the future of enterprise mobility.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has declared during a video address made to leaders at the World Government Summit in Dubai  that diversity is the key pillar for growth and critical in order to create new ideas and foster innovation. Mr. Abe was officially represented at the summit by Japan's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Kentaro Sonoura.

IMF (International Monetary Fund) Managing Director, Christine Lagarde has praised the UAE for leading other Gulf countries in its preparations to implement taxation that will be effective from January 1st, 2018. The IMF chief was speaking at the World Government Summit in Dubai, and told residents in the Gulf region that they must 'get used' to taxation in order to continue the investment in large-scale public infrastructure projects.

His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed has stated that he believes the key to the nation's sustainability is that the citizens of the UAE must stick to their values and ethics following an address he gave at the World Government Summit in Dubai. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior declared that the UAE's sustainability originates from a blend of its religion, culture, heritage and history which he says were reinforced by the late founding father Sheikh Zayed.

Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has declared that the future is key in order to revive Arab civilization. Sheikh Mohammed made the remarks at his address to leaders at the World Government Summit.
