Nokia has announced the launch of Broadband Easy Connect, a new subscription-based service that helps operators streamline, simplify and accelerate the process of connecting homes to fiber. The service allows operators to fully control and manage the home fiber connection process from the initial end-user request to the final service activation.

Effective as of August, 1, 2024, Patrick Johansson will become a member of Ericsson's Executive Team (reporting to the CEO) as its new Head of Market Area Middle East & Africa (MMEA) and Senior Vice President. He will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In Q2 2024, Nokia recorded an 18% decrease in net sales and an 8% decline in operating profit compared to the previous year. Despite these challenges, this quarter showed robust cash generation, yielding a free cash flow of EUR 394 million, supported by Nokia's ongoing normalization of its working capital position.

InfraX, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nokia, a B2B technology innovation leader. The agreement was signed by InfraX's Chief Operating Officer, Rashid Al Ahmedi and Rima Manna, Vice President of Network Infrastructure for Middle East and UAE Country Director at Nokia.
