As modern enterprises embrace innovation and digital transformation, higher connectivity and data processing capabilities are the prerequisites for friction-free operations. The combination of emerging technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence and cloud computing is set to change business operation models dynamically. Strategizing along those lines, leading cloud services provider Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched two cloud regions in the Middle East — Saudi Arabia and the UAE — as the two countries’ appetite for technology adoption has been garnering global attention.

As a token of appreciation for hosting the ITU-T high-level industry executives meeting in Dubai, UAE, for the 5th consecutive time since 2017, Toni Eid, Founder and CEO of Trace International Media and Telecom Review Group, was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation by Chasub Lee, director of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Bureau, during the (ITU) CxO meeting hosted by Telecom Review in collaboration with du on December 7.

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), in cooperation with the ITU, held the “ITU Workshop for Satellite Operators & Academia in the UAE” on procedures and regulations of non-geostationary satellite systems.

Under its annual theme “Global. Regional. Digital,” the 16th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit successfully concluded its two-day gathering with the participation of a broad range of professionals, including telecom operators, telecom vendors, industry regulators, government officials, content providers, cybersecurity experts and consultants, among other attendees.

Viplob Syngal, head of business development, NEC Open RAN, delivered his presentation, “The New Way to Build the Radio Access Network,” during the 16th edition of the Telecom Review Summit 2022 at the Intercontinental Dubai, UAE.
