Nokia has officially announced that the president of Nokia Technologies, Gregory Lee, will leave the company following the closure of the Digital Health business sale. Lee will be replaced by Maria Varsellona, who remains Chief Legal Officer and continues to report to Nokia President and Chief Executive Officer Rajeev Suri as a member of Nokia's Group Leadership Team.

Nokia and T-Mobile today announced a major milestone in delivering true mobile 5G with the successful completion of the nation's first bi-directional over-the-air 5G data session on a 3GPP-compliant 5G New Radio (NR) system in T-Mobile's Bellevue lab. The test was successfully conducted with a user equipment simulator and Nokia's 3GPP-compliant high-capacity 5G solution in the 28 GHz band.

US chipmaker Qualcomm has expressed its confidence that its acquisition of Dutch semi-conductor firm NXP will be given the green light by Chinese regulators. Qualcomm is preparing to make a final push as part of its efforts to secure the clearance required to rubberstamp the deal.
