The AI robot Belle has been designed by Swiss researchers to help them collect valuable underwater photos with high resolution and provide data in the fastest way possible, just by diving in the ocean.
This new autonomous “fish robot” can present a clearer picture of the ocean through AI. Additionally, Belle is able to collect DNA samples. Regarding its appearance, Belle is a true silent spy, it looks and moves like a real fish without disrupting the environment beside her.
Belle, the fish robot, will help marine researchers study the biodiversity as well as the impact of overfishing, pollution and climate change on the ocean’s ecosystem.
