Google launched an AI chatbot model known as ‘Gemini’— the most ambitious effort yet to compete in the rapidly growing field of Generative AI.
The ‘Gemini’ chatbot is designed to compete with the likes of OpenAI’s GPT models and supercharge everything from Google’s consumer apps to Android smartphones.
The company has revealed that Google's exclusive AI chatbot, Bard, has undergone an upgrade featuring a version of the ‘Gemini’ model. Further plans include integrating ‘Gemini’ into widely used products such as Google's search engine and Chrome web browser, both utilized by billions of people globally.
This announcement represents the marked revolution that Google has reached in the cloud computing field. Google declared that ‘Gemini’ is trained using a new generation of powerful cloud-based processors that can collectively train large AI models nearly three times faster than the previous version.
