At the 13th edition of Telecom Review Summit, the ICT industry’s biggest event in the Middle East, CEO of Fiber Misr, Ahmed Mekky, won ‘Industry CEO of the Year- Infrastructure Provider’.

Mekky began his career in the telecoms and technology industries and is a well-established expert with over 20 years’ of industry experience. Since then, he has taken the ICT industry by storm where he achieved a great deal.
He co-founded Gulf Bridge International (GBI), the region’s first ever privately-owned, carrier neutral telecoms service provider where he was a director on the board until 2018.
Not only this, but he also first handedly led the construction of the first ever operated submarine cable in the Gulf region of the Middle East and then expanded further into Africa, Europe and Asia.
