Huawei Technologies Cooperatief/Jordan and Orange Jordan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to upscale the ICT skills of youth and further empower the digital economy.
Signed by the CEO of Huawei's office in Jordan, Ethan Wang and Orange Jordan CEO, Thierry Marigny, under the memorandum, Orange Jordan will be able to train students of its digital programs through the latest technical courses from Huawei. Receiving an HCIx certification upon completion, 200 participants per batch can learn about 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, cybersecurity, and networks.
Orange Jordan CEO said, "We are proud of our partnership with Huawei, a leading digital technology company, as we share a vision of digital inclusion and empowerment. This collaboration will help enhance the scope of sustainable digital programs that we implement as part of our corporate social strategy to prepare more people across the Kingdom for the job market or to start their own business."
The ICT sector is a pillar and driver of socio-economic development and both telecom players aim to provide ICT training for talented individuals and continue to support ICT talent cultivation in the country.
President of the Carrier Network Business Group in the Middle East Region Jian An, said, "The launch of the HCIx training and accreditation program aims to support local talent and introduce them to the latest technologies, train future generations to prepare for future career development, as well as make more contribution to accelerating the establishment of the local ICT ecosystem."
