Nokia’s senior vice president mobile networks MEA, Nokia Networks, Bernard Najm, is heading on a new journey after more than 25 years at the company. Najm is set to join Amazon Web Services as the vice president telco for MEA to pursue the road of success.
Thanks to his extensive experience, he was able to drive Nokia Mobile Networks business and accelerate the deployment of next generation 5G technologies to enable safe, smart and sustainable cities across the region.
Throughout his exceptional 25-year track record of success, Najm held several senior management positions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Nokia Networks including head of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Levant (SKIL) sub-region; head of MEA ; and most recently senior vice president MEA for mobile networks.
Bernard Najm holds a B.SC in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Telecommunications, University of Aachen, Germany. He combines deep technology and market knowledge with a natural flair for winning in a complex environment. A strategic thinker, persuasive negotiator and influencer, he was able to shape and gain stakeholder ‘buy-in’.
