Sofrecom, a specialist in telecom consulting and engineering, and Docaposte, the French leader in digital trust solutions, will be combining their expertise to meet the needs of telecom operators, governments, and international institutions in order to successfully deliver digital services that promote inclusion and economic development.

Through this operational partnership, already proven by a first successful cooperation in West Africa, Sofrecom and Docaposte are looking to further the development of digital services in Africa and the Middle East. With their respective assets, they will provide end-to-end solutions that are both responsible and inclusive. Their new offering will cover the whole value chain: from defining a digital strategy to deploying trusted digital solutions.

This collaboration is being achieved at a key time when adoption of digital tools, accelerated by the pandemic. is enabling governments and institutions to define new, more inclusive, and efficient socio-economic models. As a result, the advent of 5G, broadband and the development of new technologies such as Data & AI and the cloud are opening numerous opportunities for the development of digital transformation in this territory.

Following the announcement in January of Idemia's electronic signature business acquisition, Docaposte, a subsidiary of La Poste Group, is pursuing its ambitions for international growth with this partnership. Docaposte is a key player in the French digital trust market with one of the most complete offerings on the market that combines digital and physical services: Expert consultancy, strong technological solutions and excellent service. As both a software developer and provider of technology components (AI, blockchain, etc.) and trust solutions (digital identity, certificates, electronic signatures, digital archiving, etc.), Docaposte has a complete range of products and services to fulfill any business or industry need.

In a regulated environment, under economic, competitive, and political pressure, telecom players are facing many challenges. To create added value, they are turning towards more agile and digital organizations. Sofrecom, is helping the sector to meet these challenges. Sofrecom, as a subsidiary of the Orange group, is a consulting and engineering company specialized in telecommunications. It supports the main actors of the sector: operators, governments, and international institutions to create competitive environments, conducive to the adoption of digital strategies that promote inclusion, social and economic progress.  With more than 50 years of experience, Sofrecom benefits from an excellent knowledge of emerging markets and references in more than 100 countries.

Commenting on the agreement, Olivier Vallet, Chairman and CEO of Docapost, said, "Through this partnership based on shared values of trust and openness, we will be able to provide a comprehensive approach that combines consulting, research, solutions, and agile methods that capitalize on best practices around the world. The alliance of our expertise is a great opportunity to contribute to the acceleration of the digital transformation in Africa."
