The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), organized the 'Government Transformation and Innovation' conference. The event was attended by officials from the UAE federal government and local digital governments, representatives of key sectors such as health and education, and AWS leadership and innovation teams.
The conference, held in Dubai, featured an agenda that highlighted the enablement of government entities to foster a culture of innovation at the institutional level by leveraging partners such as Amazon to generate transformative innovations that serve customers and contribute to bolstering economic activity in the country. TDRA’s achievements and its collaboration with AWS to accelerate government digital transformation, foster innovation and exchange successful experiences and best practices were also highlighted.

During his participation in the conference, H.E. Eng. Mohammad Al Zarooni, TDRA Deputy Director General for the Digital Government Sector, highlighted the UAE’s leading experience in the field of digital government and the adoption of an innovation ecosystem, from policy formulation to operational implementation. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of keeping pace with technology developments through agility, transparency, customer-centricity and effective communication between government and citizens to enhance service development.

In his speech, H.E. Al Zarooni addressed the UAE’s strategic choice towards digital transformation and the certainty of a digital and sustainable transformation that includes all life aspects in the UAE. He underscored the pivotal role of partnerships, both intergovernmental and private, in tackling complex challenges through shared experiences and capabilities.
Emphasizing the open stance of TDRA, he welcomed partnerships and consultations aimed at enhancing the provision of government services.
