Within this visionary landscape, the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has positioned itself as a key player; incorporating sustainability as a core aspect of its regulatory approach. At the forefront is the groundbreaking ICT sustainability report, embodying the ‘C.I.R.C.L.E.S’ framework. This framework strategically aligns with seven key priorities: cutting-edge infrastructure, innovation, reduction of emissions, circular economy, leapfrogging digitalization, equality and inclusion, and standards and strategic guidance. By integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its strategy, CST ensures a holistic and inclusive approach towards achieving net-zero emissions.
