TM Forum, the leading global alliance of telco and tech companies, has unveiled the agenda of its upcoming flagship DTW24—Ignite Global Summit.

The summit will take place from June 18th to 20th at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, following a record-breaking event in 2023 that saw 3,700 delegates from 114 countries convene to exchange insights, collaborate, and challenge the status quo.

This year’s theme, ‘Leading the way to an AI-Native Telco,’ brings together CTOs, CIOs, CEOs and industry architects to co-create the prescription for the industry’s most pressing challenges. Global industry leaders, designers and builders will convene in Copenhagen to cut through the jargon and de-code what it truly means to shift from a ‘Digital Telco Era’ to an ‘AI-Native Telco.’

The three-day agenda will see the industry connect with animated exchange, collaborate with unrivalled productivity, challenge the status quo, and convene with electrifying energy to design, build, and deliver a resilient future. Interactive content tracks for the event include:

  • Unleash the AI-Native DNA: Unlocking the power of AI for transformative innovation across the industry.
  • AI in Action: Advance through the AI revolution to propel business performance and innovation.
  • Amplifying Intelligent Networks: Unleashing network design that steps into an era of unparalleled efficiency and innovation.

Additional tracks will also cover efficiency and customer experience gains through ‘Composable IT: The Superpower’, including the value of TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture (ODA), as well as the role of ‘Growth Powerplays’ as the industry drives new opportunities and revenue streams through partnerships.

DTW24—Ignite also provides an opportunity for delegates to immerse themselves in TM Forum’s ‘Live Innovation’ showcases that will provide practical insights on transforming into an AI-native telco, these include:

  • 2024 Catalyst Projects: More than 50 brand new rapid innovation projects for 2024, harnessing the collaborative global force of over 1,000 industry minds from 250 organizations.
  • AI Hackathon: Aimed at the industry’s most innovative builders and designers, this year’s hackathon will harness creativity and the use of advanced AI tools from TM Forum’s hyperscaler member community, to advance TM Forum’s assets.
  • Next20 Startup Program: Designed to ignite conversations and build partnerships between startups, CSPs and technology suppliers, the Next20 program inspires the next wave of innovation, and addresses the following challenges: the AI revolution; efficiency; and growth.
  • TM Forum Industry Showcase Stand: Examples of TM Forum’s member projects will be on display at the stand and on the demo stage, including TM Forum’s inaugural Innovation Hub (launched in September 2023), as well as ODA Canvases (built by TM Forum’s hyperscaler members, AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft).

The global summit will also provide a platform for celebration with the TM Forum Excellence Awards returning for its 17th year. Taking place on the first evening of the event, the awards recognize the world’s leading companies for their innovative achievements spanning ODA implementation, network monetization and partnering, autonomous networks, AI innovation, and benefits to people and planet.

Nik Willetts, CEO, TM Forum, noted “DTW23—Ignite marked a stark turning point for the telecoms industry as executives came together to unite against the status quo. Since then, AI has quickly become a critical technology to help telcos simplify, modernize and automate their businesses. But, as we continue to embrace AI at scale, challenges are prevalent. DTW24—Ignite will help the industry’s most innovative leaders, designers, and builders overcome these challenges, and ensure they can future-proof their AI-native journey. We’re excited to be convening as a community for another year to lead the way to an AI-native telco. The energy in Copenhagen is truly electrifying and flows through everything we do, from our innovation showcase and catalysts to our impressive speaker track.
