The rapid growth continued into 2024, with subscriptions skyrocketing to 548,640 in the first quarter, eventually reaching 556,350 in the second quarter.
In addition, the TRC’s statistical data reported a total of 793,740 fixed broadband subscriptions in the kingdom by the second quarter of 2024. This surge reflects the TRC’s strategic efforts to grow beyond fiber optics to expand digital connectivity and transformation across the kingdom.
The TRC plays a critical role in shaping the future of Jordan’s digital landscape by establishing regulatory frameworks for the telecommunications and IT sectors and facilitating the criteria for network and service licenses.
