The General Authority for Regulating the Telecommunications Sector (also known as the “TRA”) has warned the public against a worldwide virus outbreak that goes by the name of ‘Emotet’.

At the 13th edition of Telecom Review Summit, the ICT industry’s biggest event in the Middle East, Charles Yang, Huawei’s President of Middle East Region, won ‘Industry CEO of the Year- Vendor’.

The agreement between Oman Future Telecommunications (OFT) and the British company Vodafone for a third Oman Mobile Operator will help provide all essential services for the establishment of the new company, including the use of the brand, technical support and knowledge during the 15-year contract.

Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier was awarded Best Innovative Product/ Service by an Operator.  The newly developed Ethernet Mobile Access is a true, new market innovation. With it, organizations will be able to expand their Ethernet access beyond the normal fixed-line solution. For this reason, they were awarded most innovative product/ service as a telecom operator.

Mr. Osman Sultan, former CEO, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC) won the ‘Merit Leader Award for Lifetime Achievement’ at the Telecom Review Excellence Awards 2019, held in the Meydan Hotel in Dubai.

The most anticipated ICT Summit of this year was held on December 10th at the Meydan Hotel in Dubai. The 13th Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit gathered industry leaders who shared insights into the latest trends. On the same evening, Telecom Review organized its annual Excellence Awards ceremony where leading brands were recognized for their achievements.

At this year’s Telecom Review Summit, the Middle East’s most renowned ICT event of the year which brings together the most esteemed figures within the industry, Engineer Nasser Suleiman Al Nasser, CEO of Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC) won ‘Industry CEO of the Year- Operator’.
