DarkMatter and du announced a commercial partnership to offer enhanced cyber security products and services to enterprises across the country.
The commercial partnership - the first of its kind in the UAE - complements du's current suite of managed service products and services for its enterprise customers that are demanding higher levels of security. Through the partnership, DarkMatter will provide its expertise to du's extensive business customer base.
Fahad AlHassawi, chief commercial officer, du said: "Security is a critical component that is already built into the DNA of our products. With the evolving landscape in cyber security, it has become even more important to safeguard the business interests of our customers. This futuristic partnership expands the horizons and offers our current and future business customers the combined expertise of du and DarkMatter in security and compliance solutions."
The strategic partnership comes with significant long-term opportunities for du and DarkMatter. Following the agreement, the companies will work together to provide a range of service offerings, which include compliance and compromise assessments, mobile and web application assessments, and penetration assessments.
Faisal Al Bannai, Founder and CEO of DarkMatter commented: "du has long-established itself as a future-focused operator and has been quick to understand the cyber security risks arising in enterprise data environments. DarkMatter is working to raise the level of cyber resilience across sectors and through this partnership we will be able to provide an enhanced level of security and confidence to du's enterprise customers in the UAE."
Megha Kumar, IDC's Research director for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey said: "Partnerships in the shape of the one just revealed by du and DarkMatter are critical given the challenges UAE-based organisations face when looking to source advanced cyber security skills. Indeed, IT decision makers in the country regularly cite skills shortages among their top security challenges, and customers will now be able to engage with du to enhance their resilience by leveraging DarkMatter's cyber security advisory and assessment services."
