Sparkle, the international services arm of TIM Group and among top 10 global operators, announces that it has been granted by the Uptime Institute the Tier III Certification of Design Documents for its new Data Center project Metamorfosis-2 in Athens, Greece.
The certification recognizes the capability of the design project of the new Data Center to support any planned work on site without disrupting operation in any way and therefore represents a very important milestone for the construction of the new Data Center.
Metamorfosis-2 will be a 5,900 square meters Data Center adjacent and connected to the existing Metamorfosis-1 and responds to the ever increasing demand for Colocation and Cloud services in Greece.
Metamorfosis-2 is designed with the latest cooling technologies and electrical systems featuring a PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of 1.2, one of the lowest in the Data Center industry.
Next step before construction phase begins is the Green Building Stand Certification (LEED) expected later this month.
Sparkle is a proven leader in Greece for Data Center services and #1 for Colocation through its existing Metamorfosis-1, the recently upgraded Koropi and Chania Data Centers in Greece.
