In line with the visionary leadership and strategic direction of the UAE, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC) and the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during GITEX 2019 with the aim of enhancing technical and cultural cooperation in multiple fields.

In addition to strengthening ties between the two entities, the MoU will also serve to ensure knowledge and cultural development exchange by leveraging EITC’s data communication science capabilities.

Saleem AlBlooshi, Chief Technology Officer, EITC, said, “At EITC, we pride ourselves on being an innovative beacon for national and social responsibility. In view of the leadership’s vision to enhance the skills and capabilities of Emirati youth, we are pleased to be able to strengthen our ties with the Hamdan Foundation, through the efforts of the du Youth Council, in order to leave a lasting impact on students and further amplify Dubai’s position as a hub for world-class scientific research, innovation and creativity.”

His Excellency- Abdelnoor Al Hashmi - Executive Manager Assistant for Institutional Support Sector at Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance, said, “The pursuit of excellence in education is an essential undertaking towards providing future opportunities for the UAE’s gifted Emirati minds and talent. By signing this MoU with EITC, we are proud to be enriching the education landscape through leveraging the telco’s expertise and vast technological capabilities to invigorate the next generation of innovative and creative young Emiratis.”

Upon signing the MoU the two parties have agreed, among other things, on the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two parties based on available specialties, skills and each parties’ requirements. EITC experts will train and educate students of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance on data communication science.
