Karim Benkirane has been appointed by du as the new Executive Vice president Head of Digital Transformation.
He previously held the position of Managing Director at Virgin Mobile UAE, an MVNO which comes under Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), the same parent company as du.
Benkirane has 20 years of experience in the Telecom industry, covering areas such as consumer business, corporate services, as well as technology providers in a variety of globally renowned organizations.
Before moving to the Gulf region, he was the CEO of Dutch Telecommunication provider KPN and CCO of Telecom Italia. He has a proven track-record of excelling in digital environments, as well as excellent digital transformation strategy development and strong, charismatic leadership.
