Saudi Arabian telecommunications and digital services provider, Zain KSA, has released its latest Sustainability Impact Report, announcing 94% 4G and 65% 5G population coverage across the Kingdom.
Zain KSA’s 5G network now spans 64 cities, including key locations such as Makkah, Dhahran, Abha, Khafji, Duba, Shaqra, Qunfudhah, and Qatif. This extensive coverage highlights Zain KSA’s commitment to driving digital transformation in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals.

ESG Highlights
The telecommunications provider also introduced the 4G network along major highways in the country and expanded its fiber-optic infrastructure in key areas, significantly contributing to the country’s Pilgrim Experience Program, delivering high-speed connectivity for pilgrims and Umrah visitors.
In addition, Zain KSA reported a significant 9% growth in its revenue for 2023, soaring to SAR 9.9 billion. This financial progress drove the company to achieve its highest annual profit of SAR 1.3 billion, signifying a 131% increase compared to the previous year.

The Saudi-based telecom company also reiterated its commitment to reducing scope 1 and 2 emissions to 23.2% by 2027 and has pledged to decarbonize the business and transition to Net Zero by 2050.
Furthermore, Zain KSA aims to expand its 5G network to 122 cities in Saudi Arabia, investing SAR 1.6 billion to deliver next-generation connectivity in underserved areas.

The remarkable achievement report comes after the unfortunate passing of its CEO, Eng. Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Aldeghaither, an influential figure in driving the company’s success.
