Ooredoo Algeria appointed Hendrik Kasteel officially as new CEO. The ceremony of appointment took place at Ooredoo Algeria’s headquarters in Algiers, in the presence of Waleed Mohamed Al -Sayed, Deputy CEO of Ooredoo group and Ooredoo Algeria executives.

During the ceremony, Waleed Mohamed Al-Sayed declared: ""We are glad to welcome Hendrik Kasteel at Ooredoo Group. We wish him full success in his new endeavors aiming at facing new challenges and preserving the highest positions for our subsidiary in Algeria at the level of the telecommunications market. I would like to thank as well Joseph Ged for all the work he has done and wish him full success in his new position.""

On the other hand, Hendrik Kasteel announced: ""I am highly aware of the significant challenges awaiting me and I will do my best to use my experience and know-how to develop Ooredoo Algeria and preserve its leadership at the level of national telecommunications market.""

It is noteworthy that the new CEO has more than 25 years of experience, including 20 years in the field of telecommunications, and has occupied several high level positions such as recently, the director general of Euronet Communications BV.
