Ooredoo Oman and Al Buraimi Governorate have signed a transformative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance digital skills, foster innovation in artificial intelligence (AI) and information technology (IT), and support sustainable development in line with Oman Vision 2040.

The MoU marks a pivotal milestone in Ooredoo’s mission to support Oman’s transformation into a global leader in technology and sustainability, delivering long-term benefits to the people of Al Buraimi and beyond.

Reflecting on the partnership, Bassam Yousef Al Ibrahim, CEO of Ooredoo, said, “This MoU reflects our commitment to shaping a digitally connected Oman. Building Digital Skills for Local Workforce Development

This partnership aims to enhance digital skills through training programs that will focus on technical and telecommunications services. The initiatives will align with emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and data analysis, equipping the local workforce with essential expertise to meet the demands of a modern economy.

Knowledge exchange will also play a vital role in the collaboration, with mutual visits planned to facilitate the sharing of administrative and technical expertise. This exchange will enrich the capabilities and understanding of both parties, ensuring the governorate benefits from the latest global practices.
