PEACE Subsea Cable Project

The PEACE cable is a 15,000 km subsea system linking France to Singapore. Since completing construction in 2022, expansion efforts have been underway to extend its reach with new landing points in Africa and the Middle East to increase its total length to 25,000 km.

Leveraging diverse terrestrial cables, PEACE offers low-latency connectivity to regional data centers in countries like Egypt, Pakistan, and the Seychelles. Operators such as Orange, Telecom Egypt, and Singtel manage various landing points along the route.

du stated that its new UAE landing point will “unlock new monetization opportunities and enhance digital capabilities across the region.”

The strategic link connects the UAE to major digital hubs across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, accelerating the country’s digital transformation.
