Following the latest developments in artificial intelligence (AI) in the security space, Aryaka has launched a Unified SASE as a Service (USaaS) solution, encompassing networking, security and observability for its global customers.

In an exclusive interview with Telecom Review during NetEvents’ EMEA Media Spotlight Event in London, Ken Rutsky, Chief Marketing Officer of Aryaka, shared the ways in which the company is meeting demand for security, performance and flexibility across its customers’ global networks. Rutsky also outlined Aryaka’s AI strategy, which will include the rollout of several products to enhance the USaaS solution this year.

Implementation Challenges Related to Legacy Network Security Products

Commenting on Aryaka’s Migration Acceleration Program, which helps organizations replace legacy network security products, Rutsky said that anyone adopting a Unified SASE as a Service model faces two implementation challenges: technical and financial.

“The technical challenge is how to take existing security policy and networking policy and migrate them into a new infrastructure. The second one is dealing with the licensed products such as firewalls. Our Migration Acceleration Program tries to address both of those. Firstly, we give financial incentives such as providing up to a year of no-charge security services on top of our infrastructure during implementation. Secondly, we provide policy migration assistance from our professional services team in this program,” Rutsky explained.

Aryaka’s Unified SASE as a Service converges and delivers four critical design elements:

  • Aryaka OnePASS Architecture: Enables distributed policy enforcement through a distributed data plane, unified control plane and single management pane
  • Aryaka Zero Trust WAN: Traverses Aryaka’s global private network backbone, which operates in more than 100 countries
  • Comprehensive Networking, Security and Observability Services: Featuring the new Aryaka SmartSecure next-generation firewall (NGFW) with a secure web gateway (SWG), anti-malware protection, and an intrusion prevention system (IPS)
  • Flexible Delivery: Empowers businesses to choose their preferred delivery approach (Aryaka or third-party) and implementation (managed, co-managed or self-managed)

Global Infrastructure Strategy for Network Security

Highlighting Aryaka’s global infrastructure strategy for network security, Rutsky pointed out that Aryaka customers are globally distributed organizations operating either regionally or beyond, across all parts of the globe.

“Our integrated network of points of presence (PoP) allows us to provide a zero-trust wide area network (WAN) with deterministic mesh routing. We offer WAN optimization, de-duplication and queuing to help customers devote a fixed portion of their bandwidth to secure AI data transfers, protecting networks from overload,” he added. Aryaka maintains a flexible approach that enables partners—agents, VARs and MSPs—to support business customers at any stage of their journey towards secure network access success.

AI Differentiation

Elaborating on what differentiates Aryaka’s offerings from other competitors in the era of artificial intelligence, Rutsky said, “Our differentiation comes from three things. Firstly, it's our OnePASS Architecture whereby we take a packet once, and we apply both security and networking policies to it and we enforce the policy everywhere, for every user, on any application, regardless of where the user or the application is located. We can apply that policy on-premise at a large location or in the cloud; it's all a cloud-delivered service.

“Secondly, we allow for fully-managed, co-managed or self-managed implementation. We let our customers decide on how much they want to manage. Otherwise, they can share the management with us.

“Thirdly, we provide a full suite of networking, security and observability services for our global customers as part of our Unified SASE as a service.”

Aryaka leads the industry as the first to offer Unified SASE as a Service. This unique secure network access solution is designed to deliver exceptional performance, agility, simplicity, and security without any tradeoffs. Hundreds of global enterprises, including several in the Fortune 100, depend on Aryaka for cloud-based software-defined networking and security services.

Aryaka’s Chief Product Officer, Renuka Nadkarni, set out the company’s AI strategy in May. This will be based on the three pillars of networking, security and observability. The company is promising to disclose further details in the next few weeks.
