Ericsson launched its Network Data Analytics Function (NWDAF) solution based on smarter data-driven networks that learn and improve. The solution enables service providers to improve customer experience by using the data generated by the network to flag and fix problems.

Nokia has been selected by Ooredoo Group to supply 5G CPEs and whole-home mesh WiFi solutions to residential and enterprise customers. The Nokia fixed wireless access (FWA) and Wi-Fi solutions will enable Ooredoo to create additional revenue streams through new and exciting offers, such as smart home services and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, announced the Clean Hydrogen Partnership will provide EUR 2.5 million to help fund a project to develop low-carbon fuel cells to power data centres. It is hoped this could reduce carbon emissions from operations by up to 100%. The EcoEdge PrimePower (E2P2) project is a novel proof-of-concept initiative aiming to develop and demonstrate low environmental impact fuel cells that provide economic and resilient prime power solutions for the data centre environment.

Ericsson and Yahsat strike a group-wide partnership to provide private network, data, and internet connectivity services across the oil and gas, mining, and ports industries. The integrated solution provides secure, reliable, and low-latency local connectivity to deploy Industry 4.0 use cases on a single network while ensuring that sensitive data remains on-site.

Ericsson global insights reveal an almost 300-fold increase in mobile data traffic since 2011 – the year in which Ericsson Mobility Report was first published. The findings, based on current and historical network data, are included in the special ten-year edition of the Ericsson Mobility Report November 2021. The report looks back at some of the key trends and events that have shaped the last decade, as well as revealing the latest forecasts toward 2027.

Huawei has announced the national winners of the 2021 Huawei Middle East ICT Competition, recently held in 10 countries across the region. It is the fifth year of the annual competition, which aims to nurture and empower the future generation of local ICT talent to effectively contribute to the region's national digitization plans and  technology-driven strategies.

Nokia has been selected by Ooredoo Group to bring multiple technologies and services, including 5G, as part of a multi-country, five-year deal. The deal, which builds on Nokia’s global partnership with Ooredoo, is already underway and is expected to be completed by 2026.
