The Etisalat Award for Arabic Children’s Literature (EAACL), organised by the UAE Board on Books for Young People (UAEBBY) and sponsored by Etisalat, has offered public and private schools in the UAE a curated collection of titles which have previously won the prestigious prize with the aim of making quality literature accessible to UAE’s schoolchildren.

Recognizing the growing digital threats in the kingdom, Cisco and the Saudi Federation for Cyber Security, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) have joined hands to develop the digital skills of 8,000 trainers in the fields of cybersecurity and programming.

In line with Saudi Vision 2030 of developing ICT skills in the kingdom, Huawei through its ICT Academy Program will provide the know-how on advanced technologies to the students of the King Faisal University (KFU) in Saudi Arabia under an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)  signed by the two parties.

As part of its efforts to lessen the digital divide and promote inclusivity across the tech industry, Nokia has offered over 300 scholarships for Nanodegree programs, which are fully online and can be completed alongside further studies or full-time work, with a focus on students and career changers from underrepresented communities.

In collaboration with the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), Huawei launched the 5th edition of its annual learning program “Seeds for the Future” in Qatar. Selected students from Qatar University, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and Community College of Qatar would participate.

Nokia announced that Asiacell Telecom, Iraq’s leading telecommunications services provider, has chosen Nokia to build its next-generation microwave network. This new microwave network will be essential to meet the capacity and provide the ultra-low latency required to delivering compelling experiences to end users. For this project, Nokia will replace legacy microwave equipment by either modernizing or deploying approximately 3,000 network links across multiple locations in Iraq over the next five years.
