The event saw keynote remarks from Yahya Kassab, senior director and general manager, KSA & Gulf, for Commvault on the theme of “Innovate with Confidence.” Kassab highlighted major trends in data management, protection from ransomware and digital transformation across the region.
Mr. Ahmad Almulla, a leading digital advisor who works with boards of directors, CEOs and CIOs on IT strategy, cyber security and IT governance, talked about the increasing importance of data in organizations.
Commvault Connections on the Road in Dubai also featured a panel discussion with Mr. Abdulla Ali AlMadani, CEO and Partner, Quantum IT Consultancy Services; Mr. Matar Almehairi, Chairman, MEERANA; and Mr. Mohammed Al Rais, Director of IT, ENOC, which was moderated by Ranjit Rajan, vice president, research, Middle East, Turkey and Africa, IDC
John Sanei, a keynote speaker, future strategist and best-selling author, spoke on the topic, “The Future of Humans - Human 2.0: Upgrading Our Internal Systems for the Digital Age.”
Commvault boasts projects with key organizations, including MEEZA, Bein Sports, Al Jazeera and Emirates Steel, as well as the Dubai Police and the Dubai Municipality in the UAE.
Companies such as Huawei, Hitachi and PureStorage, among others, also shared their presentations on data management, data protection and security.
