The agreement between Oman Future Telecommunications (OFT) and the British company Vodafone for a third Oman Mobile Operator will help provide all essential services for the establishment of the new company, including the use of the brand, technical support and knowledge during the 15-year contract.
When Oman got its 3rd mobile provider, Johannes Hummer, Regioanal Head of Middle East, Vodafone Partner Markets was central to getting the deal done. He worked on this deal for over 18 months, together with senior officials of Oman.
This is why, Telecom Review Excellence Awards’ committee honored him with a Merit Leaders’ Award for the ‘Best Project Achievement.’
