His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, launched the Dubai Digital Cloud project during a visit to the Digital Dubai headquarters.
The project is the latest in a series of initiatives aimed at creating a world-leading, efficient, agile and reliable digital infrastructure in Dubai.

To implement the Dubai Digital Cloud project, partnership agreements between Digital Dubai, Microsoft and Moro Hub — a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority — have also been signed.
The Dubai Digital Cloud project aims to reinforce Dubai’s position as a digital economy capital and further strengthen its robust and reliable digital infrastructure.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said Dubai is steadfast in its commitment to fostering excellence and innovation in the use of advanced technologies to accelerate Dubai’s digital transformation in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to turn the city into the epicenter of the global digital economy.
Apart from supporting economic growth, Dubai’s accelerated digital transformation seeks to further raise the efficiency of government operations and the quality of life of people in the emirate.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, said, “The Dubai Digital Cloud project is a practical application of our leadership’s vision to promote connectivity, integration and a comprehensive digital government that ensures agility, speed, security and competitiveness, allowing government entities to provide integrated, proactive, round-the-clock services. It marks a significant milestone on our journey to cement Dubai’s global status as a model city and an inspiring example of how digital transformation can be implemented to serve the community and the business sector.”
The Dubai Digital Cloud project consists of multiple digital clouds designed to provide high levels of flexibility and operational efficiency while offering the best solutions from private to public clouds.
The launch of the strategy reflects the commitment of the Dubai Electronic Security Center, part of Digital Dubai, to safeguarding the digital ecosystem and accelerating digital transformation and smart city initiatives. The latest cycle of the strategy aligns with the Cybersecurity Pillar of Digital Dubai’s Strategy.
Dubai Cyber Security Strategy
Sheikh Hamdan also launched the second cycle of the Dubai Cyber Security Strategy, which seeks to enhance Dubai’s digital infrastructure and strengthen the emirate’s digital economy.
As part of the high priority placed on securing the UAE’s cyberspace, the Dubai Cyber Security Strategy 2023 is designed to meet future needs and enhance our digital defense capabilities by nurturing talent and fostering strategic partnerships.

The new strategy introduces four key pillars: a cyber-secure society, an incubator city for innovation, a resilient cyber city, and active cyber collaboration. These pillars align with the vision of the leadership and their future aspirations to strengthen Dubai's leading position in the field of cyber security. Embracing a proactive approach to cyber security, the strategy aims to enhance resilience, foster partnerships, and build upon the achievements of the initial strategy in 2017.
