The United Arab Emirates has achieved a significant milestone, saving approximately USD 4 billion (AED 14.7 billion) through the digital transformation of its public sector.

This achievement is attributed to rapid technological advancements, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI), and citizens' growing expectations, establishing modernization as an integral move to advance the country.

The Minister of State and Secretary General of the UAE Cabinet, Maryam Bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, emphasized that modernization is not a luxury; it is a necessity for governments to remain relevant, competitive, and effective.

Al Hammadi also highlighted the UAE’s digital transformation journey, which commenced two decades ago. This journey has enabled the UAE to accomplish remarkable achievements globally, ranking first in IT infrastructure and network speed, third in attracting AI talent, and fourth in the number of foundational AI models released.

Advancing the UAE’s Digital Governance Sector

Showcasing the UAE’s progress in digital governance, the minister shared impressive statistics indicating that 99% of government services have been digitally transformed, resulting in a 90% satisfaction rate among citizens.

All UAE residents now possess a digitally unified number, enabling access to most government services and other private services.

Additionally, the minister highlighted that 80% of the federals in the UAE have been amended in the last four years to attract global talent and entrepreneurs.

This strategic move reflects the UAE’s commitment to driving digital transformation and its position as a global hub for talent and innovation.
