Oman’s information, communications, and technology (ICT) sector has continued to advance in recent years, boasting an increase in internet access of 98% in its households, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has mandated mobile service providers, Ooredoo Qatar Q.P.S.C. and Vodafone Qatar P.Q.S.C., to shift to the high-speed Time Division Duplex (TDD) technique in the 2.6 GHz frequency band to enhance the country’s public mobile network performance.
