Telecom Review launched at the 12th Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit which was held on March 29th in Beirut, Lebanon, a special edition on 5G cyber threats and solutions that aims to explain more about the relevance of cybersecurity in light of 5G deployment.

“Telecom has always been the fastest and the largest in terms of growing investments in IT because that’s the only way they become IT-enabled to serve the market,” said SVP – Technology Middle East, Africa, and Central and Eastern Europe, Oracle, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Thehaiban.

The 19th Middle East Network Operators Group Meeting and Peering Forum (MENOG 19) recently ended on a high note in Lebanon, after participants from across the region and beyond spent two days discussing the most pressing issues currently facing the internet and communications industry. The regional forum brought together 250 key players in the region’s internet network operations, along with 100 remote participants, for two meeting days on 3-4 April in Beirut.

The Reseaux IP Europeens Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) – the independent, not-for-profit membership organization that supports the infrastructure of the internet through technical coordination in Europe, Middle East and Central Asia, will shed light on pertinent issues concerning the growth directions of the internet community in the Middle East at the meeting of the upcoming Middle East Network Operators Group and Peering Forum (MENOG 19).  The event, which will take place in Beirut from 3-4 April 2019, will discuss major concerns connected to routing, the domain name system, peering, Internet Exchange Point (IXP) development and ongoing progress in the deployment of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) across the region.
