UAE's leading telecom services operator Etisalat has announced the launch of its Smiles’ food order and delivery service in the UAE as part of its continuous efforts to constantly innovate and enhance customer experience.
According to Etisalat, more than 2,500 restaurants are currently delivering via the Smiles app.
With the new delivery feature, customers can now order food from restaurants around them and also earn and redeem Smiles points on their food deliveries as well as enjoy unique discount deals on food deliveries exclusive to Smiles.
Customers ordering via the app can earn one Smiles point for every AED1 on card payments. This development not only adds to the various avenues of engagement with the Smiles app, but also enhances the possibility of earning and redeeming Smiles points for a service that is frequently used on a recurring basis, it stated.
Chief Consumer Officer Khaled Elkhouly said: "Smiles is well positioned to expand its presence in the food delivery market and create additional value to its customers and partners."
Smiles, one of the largest lifestyle engagement programmes in the UAE, has more than 2.3 million registered members and is open to all citizens, residents and visitors of the emirates.
"Smiles offers everyday savings to its members through earn and redemption of Smiles points for Etisalat, partner products and services as well as ‘Unlimited Buy 1 Get 1 Free’ and other discount offers at over 3,000 outlets, on entertainment, shopping, dining, travel, services and wellness experience," explained Elkhouly.
"Today dining is the most popular category on the Smiles platform, with our customers enjoying special offers with Smiles while dining out. We listened to the voice of our customers and have now extended the convenience of food ordering via Smiles from the comfort of their own homes," he added.
