The Executive Council of Dubai and Huawei Consumer Business Group announced a partnership that will see it include Dubai Font on its mobile operating systems as one of its standard pre-loaded fonts. The font will be automatically available on the upcoming Huawei flagship smartphone starting with the Middle East and Africa later this year, and in the rest of the world as of next year. Designed to reflect the modernity and culture of innovation that exists within Dubai, the signing is the latest move in a series of steps that has seen it cement its position as a global cultural hub.

DubaiPay generates AED 12 Billion till June 1st, 2017
Statistics announced by Smart Dubai revealed that its DubaiPay portal for payment online and via smartphones registered a 15 percent increase in the amounts collected between June 1st 2016 and June 1st, 2017, and a surge of 13 percent in number of transactions carried out over the same period.

Huawei announced a partnership with digital money transfer service WorldRemit, making WorldRemit's international money transfer service available to all partners of Huawei's mobile money service platform across Africa. Qualcomm reports $5.4 billion in quarterly revenues
Qualcomm reported revenues of $5.4 billion for the three months to 25 June in 2017 and highlighted better than expected results in its semiconductor business. Due to Apple's ongoing licensing dispute with Qualcomm, the company's revenue was down 11 percent year on year, but CEO Steve Mollenkopf remains positive.
