Huawei's ambition to topple its rivals in the premium smartphone market is no secret. Since 2011, the global smartphone market has been dominated by Apple and Samsung. As the fourth largest converging telecommunications operator with their own fixed and mobile infrastructures in the Spanish market, MASMOVIL has selected Ericsson to provide a wide array of solutions and services, including core network evolution based on Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), enterprise billing, managed and systems support services, and deployment, installation and maintenance of fiber to the home (FTTH).So, while the size of the deal might not be earth-shattering it will certainly provide a good platform for Ericsson to show what it can do.

Ericsson are demonstrating the world´s first 5G network slicing solution supporting multiple network slices on the same device with NTT DOCOMO, INC. The solution, was shown at 5G Tokyo Bay Summit 2017 from May 24 to 26, addresses use cases where robots are used for building automation into public and private infrastructure. The solution could also be used for other industries.
