Cisco released its first State of Industrial Networking Report to highlight the key priorities in the evolving industrial networking landscape, with cybersecurity being the top challenge for organizations that are trying to run and maintain industrial infrastructure.

The United Arab Emirates and Kuwait strengthened their bilateral relations by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and executive programs to support the collaborative efforts of both nations in various sectors, including telecommunications and technology.

The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) has mandated mobile service providers, Ooredoo Qatar Q.P.S.C. and Vodafone Qatar P.Q.S.C., to shift to the high-speed Time Division Duplex (TDD) technique in the 2.6 GHz frequency band to enhance the country’s public mobile network performance.

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) celebrated Emirati Women's Day, in line with the slogan "Today for Tomorrow," which was launched by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.

The Ministry of Economy (MoEc) held a media briefing to explain the UAE's efforts in regulating the telephone marketing (telemarketing) of products and services in the country. In tandem with this, the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) is in charge of managing the ‘Do Not Call Register’ (DNCR) and will work closely with relevant organizations to set guidelines, share data, raise public awareness, and regulate individuals.

Fifty-six percent of graduates in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses at government universities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are women, according to the country’s Gender Balance Council, indicating a significant stride in promoting gender equality.
