In its bid to continually invest substantial resources in bringing advanced technology networking products and solutions to the market, CommScope has partnered with Optical Cable Corporation (OCC), a leading manufacturer of a broad range of fiber optic and copper data communication cabling and connectivity solutions, for "a long-term agreement to cross-license portions of their patent portfolios," according to a statement.

Nokia and UN Women have together launched four pilot projects to bolster inclusion and diversity for equality. These pilots aim to address four different areas such as increasing the number of women employees, raising awareness of cervical cancer and uterine fibroids, promoting STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education, and empowering gender-based violence victims. After the successful execution of the pilots, the two organizations plan to roll these projects out in more countries across the Middle East and Africa region.

Nokia announced the company’s financial results for the first quarter 2021, registering a strong start to the year with constant currency net sales up 9% year-on-year, driven by strong growth in network infrastructure and solid growth in mobile networks; reported net sales increased 3%.

President of Pakistan Arif Alvi had a meeting with a Huawei delegation led by Li Xiangyu (SpaceLee), the company's vice president for the Middle East region, wherein the president urged the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) to collaborate with Huawei in launching training programs for government employees.
