The Strategy’s Five Main Pillars

Eng. Dana Yousef Al Abdullah, Director of National Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs at the National Cyber Security Agency, highlighted the five main pillars of the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2024-2030.

The first pillar encompasses cybersecurity and resilience in the Qatari system, focusing on critical national infrastructures.

The second pillar addresses legislation, regulations, and law enforcement for a secure cyberspace. This foundation aims to establish legal, regulatory, and governance frameworks and operating models.

The third pillar intends to create a thriving, innovative, and data-driven economy that is poised to support nationwide cybersecurity initiatives through research, development, and innovation across the public and private sectors.

The fourth pillar aims to navigate cyberculture and workforce development by developing a qualified workforce to support the convergence of cybersecurity and culture.

The last pillar aims to forge international cooperation and trusted partnerships, enhancing active participation in cyber diplomacy at regional and global levels.

The implementation of Qatar’s National Cybersecurity Strategy is a testament to the increasing challenges countries currently face in cyber space, driven by rapid digital transformation and the global adoption of modern technologies.
